A space to be heard
A confidential, supportive relationship where you can explore what you're carrying — at a pace that feels manageable and containing.

What it is
At its core, therapy builds on the relationship between client and therapist — a space where you can open up, share parts of yourself, and feel unconditionally accepted by another person.
The terms counsellor and psychotherapist are largely interchangeable. What matters is the training, consistency and trust at the heart of the work: weekly sessions, no existing relationship outside the room, and a concentrated focus on you.
An integrative approach
Rather than one fixed method, an integrative approach brings together skills from a number of psychotherapy modalities. We work short or long term to uncover persistent issues, integrate your experiences, and help you feel truly valued and accepted.
Practical, present-focused work with thoughts and behaviours — useful for anxiety, depression and breaking unhelpful patterns.
Exploring how past relationships and the unconscious shape your present experience, making space for deeper understanding.
A relationship-led approach rooted in empathy and acceptance, helping you reconnect with your own direction and worth.
Exploring the stories you tell about your life and reshaping them, so problems become separate from your identity rather than who you are.
Engaging with life's big questions of meaning, freedom, choice and responsibility, helping you live more authentically and with purpose.

How it works
Therapy works by building a trusting relationship with a practitioner trained to listen and support you — helping you develop tools and strategies to manage feelings, emotions and relationships more effectively.
If you've tried therapy before and it wasn't useful, it may be that the approach wasn't quite right at the time, the work was too short or too long, or the relationship wasn't fully developed. It can take some trial and error to find a therapist you connect with — that's not a problem with you, or with therapy, just the search for the right companion for the journey.

“The good life is a process, not a state of being. It is a direction, not a destination.” — Carl Rogers
